The merger in Doha, Qatar of the Daou Construction consortium and Barclays Gedi Group brings  together  two powerful construction entities. Specialising in infrastructure, high rise and prefabricated single and multi family residential residences. 

Mr. Ali Daou has completed major construction projects for the past four Kings of The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. Additionally Mr. Daou has worked for the ruling families of Syria and other Gulf States. The list of projects by the Barclays Gedi Group  http://www.barclaysgedi.com/ and the projects completed over fifty years by the Daou Group creates a powerful construction entity for the Gulf States and their neighbors.  

Mr. Mohamed Sururr of Lebanon has joined the Group as Partner and Director of the Cement and  Quarry Division. He has operated a rock crushing facility in Doha for two years and brings his engineering, education and operating experience to lead the expansion of Barclays Gedi Daou Group for the acquisition of a quarry license and cement facility license. Educated in England, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Group.


Mr. Kamal Rashid of Lebanon has joined the Group as Partner and Director of field services and acquisitions. His international experience in construction of medium and large facilities in developing countries will be utilized to enhance the building capacity for the Barclays Gedi Daou Group to expand their construction activity into commercial and residential projects in Qatar.  Mr. Rashid has been actively involved in Doha construction and is a welcomed addition to the Group.

Mr. Elia Nasra has joined the Group as Consulting Engineer. He has just completed three years in Iraq handling major construction projects as directed by the US Government. As Chief Estimator for Barclays Gedi Daou Group he will be responsible for all cost estimating and work directly with the Group President Wayne Gerl.
